There is something unmistakable about Bull y Los Búfalos. Led by Spanish born singer and songwriter Diego “Bull” Avello, the Nashville based rock band brings together the grit of American Rock and Roll with the passion and fire of Spain. The result is a sound they proudly call Stubborn Rock, a style built around determination, raw energy, and refusing to back down.
At the center of it all is Diego “Bull” Avello, a larger than life frontman whose journey to the American rock scene began in a small mountain town in Spain. After spending years in Austin, Texas, Bull eventually made Nashville home, carrying with him a deep love for American music and a desire to create something that could connect both sides of the Atlantic. Bull y Los Búfalos became the result, blending their Spanish roots with the unmistakable attitude of American rock.
The band has built its reputation through a relentless live presence. Their high energy performances have taken them from NASCAR events in Nashville and Daytona Bike Week to Harley Davidson events, biker rallies, and an NBA halftime show for the San Antonio Spurs. They have also shared stages with some of rock’s biggest names, including Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Slash of Guns N’ Roses, Don Felder of the Eagles, Ace Frehley of KISS, 38 Special, Anthony Gomes, and Lynch Mob.
Their reach extends well beyond the United States. Bull y Los Búfalos have headlined major biker festivals throughout Latin America, including events in Mexico that drew crowds of more than 25,000 people. Their music and live performances have helped them develop an international following while remaining firmly rooted in the independent spirit that has defined the band from the beginning.
That independent spirit has also translated into an impressive catalog. The band has released three studio albums, multiple EPs, singles, and a live album capturing the intensity of their performances. Their music videos have surpassed one million views, while their songs have accumulated more than one million Spotify streams. In 2019, MXD MAG named Bull y Los Búfalos Best Rock Band in Texas, with Bull receiving Best Rock Singer honors and the rest of the band earning top recognition in their respective categories.
Their music has also found its way onto television. Three Bull y Los Búfalos songs were featured on FX’s Mayans M.C., the acclaimed Sons of Anarchy spin off. Their track “Dinero Primero” also reached national Active Rock and Alternative radio through the LA Lloyd Rock 30, further establishing the band as a force beyond the independent scene.
Now, Bull y Los Búfalos are entering another chapter. The band recently signed with The Label Group / ROCK in Nashville, with distribution through Virgin Music Group. They recorded their new album, Full Tank of Courage, which represents what they believe may be their strongest work yet. The album is set to arrive alongside several new music videos, giving fans a new look at the band and the world they have built around Stubborn Rock.
The first video from the new era is “Ghost,” a cinematic production filmed primarily at the iconic cemetery in Spain featured in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The location adds another layer to a song and visual identity that connects Bull’s Spanish roots with the cinematic mythology of the American West.
The band’s story is also being captured on film through the documentary I Took the Road Less Traveled. The film follows Bull’s journey from his small hometown in Spain to pursuing the American dream through music, documenting the sacrifices, setbacks, victories, and experiences that shaped his life as a rock and roll artist. Shot across the United States, Mexico, and Spain, the documentary has already earned five awards on the 2026 film festival circuit.
For Bull y Los Búfalos, Stubborn Rock is more than a description of their music. It represents the attitude that has carried them from Spain to Texas, Nashville, Mexico, and stages around the world. It is about persistence, passion, and having the courage to keep moving forward when the easier choice would be to stop.
Bull y Los Búfalos are not trying to fit into a box. They are building their own lane, fueled by Spanish fire, American rock and roll, and a stubborn determination to keep pushing forward. With a new album, new music videos, and a documentary on the way, their next chapter is already underway.
